"Virgil has been redefining the way the modern drum set is played for decades now. His unstoppable dedication to raising the technical boundaries of what is possible on the drums will be defining generations of drummers in the years to come.
"I feel that playing like him is both impossible and meaningless, since he is one of a kind, so being inspired by him is what this vid is all about. I chose this track both because Virgils playing is so “Virgil-Like”, and also because it is accessible to drummers around the world to create their own “tribute” by practicing on the drumless version, available on Evan Marien’s Bandcamp."
